Kopdit Servaim was established by a small group of teachers and lecturers working at Yayasan Nusa Taruni Bhakti on January 9 1993 but membership is open to all. They rented a single room from the institution and the initial membership comprised 27 members with a start up capital of Rp 607,000. In April 1998 they joined the membership of Puskopdit Bekatigade Ende-Ngada (PuskopditBen). The prime aim of Serviam is to encourage young children to save and to engender finanancial awareness.
Their main products are: Learning Obligatory Deposit ( SIWAJAR), Education Deposit of Children ( SIPENDIK), Retired Fund Deposit ( SIDAPEN), Products Deposit ( SIBUHAR), Voluntary Contribution Expects ( SISUKA), Pilgrimage Deposit Keagamaan(SIAGAM), Invesment Deposit of Future ( SIMAPAN). In 2006 Servaim acquired a permanent office of some 552 square metres. Growth of the membership has been steady but strong and on 12 July 2008 was awarded a certificate from the Ende local government recognising their achievements.

This small womens group produce Ikat from raw cotton which they grow themselves. They produce many designs based on the Nuabosi region and its traditions. |
